Shetland 570 Further Reading

This Colin Mudie designed boat first came out in 1971 and features a semi displacement hull. The boat has 2 V berths in the cabin with a small galley area aft. The cockpit is generous for her trailable size. The boat is seen inland and on the coast, where up to 115hp outboards could be fitted. Some models even had OMC inboard engines installed. The MK II version has built-in foam buoyancy. This boat was popular all over Europe and 3039 were built! In 1982, the boat was re-named the Shetland Kestrel with slight change to the window design.
