Shetland 640 Information

This group of Shetlands were the wide beam version offering generous accommodation for the shorter overall length. The cabins in many cases just about had standing headroom in the cabin. This range of craft generously offered 4 berths. Although capable of accepting larger motors, 45hp plus, most of these boats are used inland on rivers as the beam is too great for many canal locks.About 400 boats were built.
